We all have the same information in the
bible, but none have the
whole truth, on the happenings past this
world.
This page is written, on a few observations,
from the scriptures,
for you to ponder-
All definitions are taken from the Greek
concordance,
as that was the language of the New Testement
After
Jesus had risen from the dead,
the Gospels,
give us a strong picture of what the glorified,
resurrected body may be like, for us also.
This is, if we choose to take our lead
from our Lord's resurrected body,
since we were made after His image.
Mark 16:11&12 And
they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her,
believed not.
After that
he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went
into the country.
He was now able to change forms, at will.
Luke 24:15 and 16 And
it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus
himself drew near, and went with them.
But their
eyes
were holden (strengthened not to recognize Him) that they should
not know him.
He was able to maintain anonymity, at will.
Luke 24:29,30&31 But
they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening,
and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
And it came
to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and
brake, and gave to them.
And their
eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their
sight.
He was able to disappear at will.
Luke 24:36 And
as
they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith
unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they
were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38
And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in
your hearts?
39
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and
see;
for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
He was able to change His form back to
flesh and bones, at will.
John 20:13 And they
say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they
have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
14
And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing,
and knew not that it was Jesus.
20:15&16 Jesus
saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She,
supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne
him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
Jesus saith
unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which
is to say, Master.
He was able to appear at will, with great
compassion, toward the human level,
even while stying unknown to those who
loved Him.
17 Jesus
saith unto her, Touch me not;(
to hold fast, to cling )for I am not yet
ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren,
and
say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God,
and your God.
Since we are given
four accounts, in the Gospels, of the walk of Jesus,
they are not always
in
'novel order', nor
do the English words,
always reflect the
original meaning of the Greek word used in the first accounts.
Here Jesus is telling
his beloved followers, who loved Him so greatly, with joy,
that He was back
with them, only for a short time,
and that they cannot
cling, or hold fast to Him, this time,
as He hasn't yet
ascended to His Father in heaven,
but will soon be
leaving them for the last time.
The below verse is
clearer, about their show of love for Jesus, upon His
return to them,
after His crucifixion.
They may have thought,
at first, that He was back with them to stay.
Matthew 28:9 And
as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All
hail. And they came and held him by the feet,( they clung to Him )
and worshipped him.
John 20:25&26 The
other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he
said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails,
and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into
his side, I will not believe.
And after
eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then
came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said,
Peace be unto you.
He was able to move at will, through any
mass, or material thing.
John 20:19 Then
the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors
were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews,
came
Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
He was able to make Himself visible or
invisible, at will.
John 21:3 Simon
Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with
thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night
they caught nothing.
4
But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the
disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
He was able to be unrecognizable in the
person.
John 21:4 But
when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples
knew not that it was Jesus. 5 Then Jesus
saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
6 And he said
unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find.
They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude
of fishes.
7 Therefore
that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord.
. . . . . .
But still He was able to make His spirit
recognizable,
by those that loved Him, especially dearly.
There are at least 79 references
to fire in the KJV of the bible- here are just a few, all with the
same meaning in the Greek.
fire- - 4442 pur {poor}FIRE-FIERY
(This original Greek word, also includes
all references to the 'lake of fire')
And what does fiery mean
in the original Greek?
4451 purosis {poo'-ro-sis}

fire. (Greek 4442)
Matthew 3:11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after
me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize

there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, (4442)

1 Corinthians 3:13
Every
man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because
it shall be revealed (0601
below) by fire; (4442
below) and the fire (4442)shall
try every man's work of what sort it is.
revealed 0601 apokalupto
{ap-ok-al-oop'-to}
from 575 and 2572
(1) to uncover,
lay open what has been veiled or covered up
(1.a) disclose,
make bare
(2) to make known,
make manifest, disclose what before was unknown
2 Peter 3:7
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept
in store, reserved (5083 watch,
guard, from loss or injury) unto fire
(4442) against the day of judgment and perdition (below)
of ungodly men.
John 17:12
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that
thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of
perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
Perdition: 0684 apoleia {ap-o'-li-a}
from a presumed
derivative of 622
(1) destroying,
utter destruction
(1.a) of vessels
(2) a perishing,
ruin, destruction
(2.a) of money
(2.b) the destruction

Jude 1:20
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying
in the Holy Ghost,
21
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus
Christ unto eternal life.
22
And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating
even the garment spotted by the flesh.
In the above verse
'23' does this mean they are already
in the 'FIRE' ?
(with the same meaning of all the above fires (4442) No, not a real earthly
fire, but yes, a spiritual fire,
from their own disbelief,
and sin bondage,
because of lack
of knowledge about our Lord's
work for them, and
man, on the cross.
John 18:18
And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire (0439)
of coals;
for it was cold:
and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them,
and warmed himself.
this fire means: 0439 anthrakia {anth-rak-ee-ah'}
from 440
(1) a heap of burning coals
KJV: fire of coals 2
Acts 28:2 And
the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled afire,(4443) and received us
every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
this fire means: 4443 pura {poo-rah'}
from 4442
(1) a fire, a pile of burning fuel
Now we can begin to
see, in the 79 references to 'FIRE' in the N.T.
that the most commonly used word for fire
is not necessarily
fire as we know it today, here on earth.
(4442)
Greek 4442 pur {poor}FIRE-fiery
There is a distinction between the fire
that burns with fuel,
and the fire of the Greek 4442 fire.
There are about five different meanings
for
the word, fire, in the N.T.
Above are a couple of examples, of the
fuel fire,
as we know it.
There may be a resurrected body , of some
sort, for everyone,
at the great judgement, or it may be,
that those, not in the book of life, will
appear in spirit only,
as they were not included in the first
resurrection.
In any case, it will not be as our present
bodies,
so the fire cannot be as this mortal fire.
This is especially
true, as this same fire, is used in the
Matt 3:11.
. . .baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire (4442) and
Acts 2:3 . . . cloven tongues like as
of fire, (4442)
This 'fire' is
something of God, and therefore, a spiritual fire.
Degrees of damnation and
hell, before the judgment throne.
Matthew 23:14 Woe
unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses,
and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater
damnation.
Matthew 23:15
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and
land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold
more the child of hell than yourselves.
Matthew 11:23 And
thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to
hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done
in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
24
But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land
of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
Revelation 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have
their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which
is the second death.
Degrees of damnation, and also degrees
of hell, seems indicated, by Jesus
Darkness is mentioned 51 times in the
N.T. There are several different meanings
of this word in the original Greek language, so
it pays us to look them up, to get a clearer
meaning of the heavenly language of the scriptures.
Below are just ten
examples, all the same meanings defined:
4655 skotos {skot'-os} darkness from the base of 4639
(1) darkness
(1.a) of night darkness
(1.b) of darkened eyesight or blindness
(2) metaph.
(2.a) of ignorance respecting divine things
and human duties, and the accompanying ungodliness and immorality, together
with their consequent misery in hell
(2.b) persons in whom darkness becomes
visible and holds sway
Matthew 8:12 But
the children of the kingdom(the Jews, who
reject Jesus) shall be cast out into outer
darkness(4655):
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 22:13 Then
said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away,
and cast him into outer darkness(4655);
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 25:30 And
cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness:(4655)
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Luke 1:79
To give light to them that sit in darkness(4655)
and
in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Luke 22:53
When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against
me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness(4655).
Luke 23:44
¶And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness
(4655)
over all the earth until the ninth hour.
2 Corinthians 4:6 For
God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness(4655),
hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory
of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:4 But
ye, brethren, are not in darkness(4655), that that day should overtake
you as a thief.
2 Peter 2:17 These
are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom
the mist of darkness (4655) is
reserved for ever.
Jude 1:13 Raging
waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom
is reserved the blackness of darkness (4655)
for
ever
All the above have
the same meaning as translated from the
origianal Greek,
in which this bible was written for the first time,
before being translated
into the KJV
.
Hebrews 10:35
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of
reward.
another meaning:
BUT TAKE NOTICE
HERE IN THERE SCRIPTURES:
Matthew 6:23 But
if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness.(4652)
If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness,(4655) how great
is that darkness(4655)!
The first darkness
of the above 4652 is yet different:
4652 skoteinos {skot-i-nos'}
from 4655
(1) full of darkness,
covered with darkness
KJV: full of darkness
2, dark 1
which is 'full darkness'
and a greater degree than
the 10 examples
above in the (4655) meaning.
John 12:35
Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk
while ye have the light, lest darkness (4653)come
upon you: for he that walketh in darkness (4653)
knoweth
not whither he goeth.
And this darkness
is different yet: 4653 skotia
{skot-ee'-ah}
from 4655
(1) darkness
(2) the darkness
due to want of light
(3) metaph. used
of ignorance of divine things, and its associated wickedness,
and the resultant
misery in hell
NOW COMPARE THE BELOW
VERSE
TO THE JUST ABOVE
ONE:
and you will see
that both darknesses have to do
with how we walk.
.
the above verse
states that 'in darkness'
we know not whither
we go,
that is, (walking
blindly) with no direction at all,
and 'missing the
mark' (SIN) all the time,
WHILE THE below verse
states that 'in the light'
we walk after peace!
Luke 1:79
To give light to them that sit in darkness(4655)
and
in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Acts 2:20 The
sun shall be turned into darkness(3344),
and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord
come:
Another meaning
of the same English word darkness as above is:
3344 metastrepho
{met-as-tref'-o}
from 3326 and 4762
(1) to turn around,
turn around
KJV: turn 2,
pervert 1
and this same meaning
of darkness is also used
two more times in
the N.T. ie.
Galatians 1:7 Which
is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert(3344)
the gospel of Christ.
and
James 4:9
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned(3344)
to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
2 Peter 2:4
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell,
and delivered them into chains of darkness,(2217)
to
be reserved unto judgment;
DARKNESS 2217 zophos
{dzof'-os}
akin to the base
of 3509 (1) darkness, blackness
(1.a) used of the
darkness of the 'nether world'
and what does 'nether
world' mean?
well as the above
Greek meaning is from,
or akin to 3509,
here is that meaning:
nephos {nef'-os}
3509 apparently a root
word
(1) a cloud, a large
dense multitude, a throng
(1.a) used to denote
a great shapeless collection of vapour obscuring the heavens as opposed
to a particular and definite masses of vapour with some form or shape
(1.b) a cloud in
the sky
KJV: cloud 1
So when Jesus
refered to casting a soul into 'outer darkness'
the meaning was not
the above 'nether world' meaning,
it was the (4655)
meaning of walking in darkness,
and not knowing
where one is going.
(no direction at
all, involving sin, and great angish of soul)
or as Jesus said
(gnashing of teeth)
It
it obvious here, that in all of these darkness's,
mist of darkness, or blackness of darkness,
there exists no light, (fire) of
any kind, as in the (lake of fire),
especially no spiritual light.
This is most probably the 'Hades'
the place of 'waiting' for judgment
but apparently begins right here on earth
in ones own life!
Matthew 6:1
¶Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them:
otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 6:4 That
thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself
shall reward thee openly.
and here is the difference
between the reward
Luke 6:35 But
love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again;
and your rewardshall be great, and ye shall be the children
of the Highest:
for he is kind
unto the unthankful and to the evil.
1 Corinthians 3:14
If
any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a
reward.
It's notable that
Jesusqualified
'if
any man's work abide' Doesn't sound like
there will be many! by comparison.
I'm sure we will
be shocked to find, many works of men,
not only not rewarded,
but burnt in this same (4442) fire
1 Corinthians 3:13
Every
man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because
it shall be revealed by fire; and thefire(4442)
shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
Every
man, means all of us!
and here is the difference
between the reward of grace,
and the reward of
works.
Romans 4:2 For
if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before
God.
3 For
what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto
him for righteousness.
4 Now
to
him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But
to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly,
his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even
as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth
righteousness without works,
Paul's reward
1 Corinthians 9:18
What
is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may
make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in
the gospel.
His reward was the
preaching the gospel of Christ, with not even
a hint of abuse,
through a monetary charge!
as he stated elsewhere,
he was a slave to Christ.
also
1 Timothy 5:18 For
the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the
corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
Paulis giving Timothy
instruction on the elders here,
and tells him not
to allow any muzzling of the elder
in good standing,
to teach/minister Christ to the people.
Also Timothy is
not to take any accusation against
an elder, except
through two or three witnesses.
And that they are
entitled to their spiritual reward for this
spiritual leadership/work-
This reward is in
the "Here and Now"
as is the one that
Paul proclaims for himself.
Matthew 5:11&12
Blessed
are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall
say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice,
and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so
persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
How many men/women
of God, do you know in this
country, who fit the above
two verses?
not enough, even
though I do know some,
and mighty thankful
to God, that I do.
Great
will their rewards be, in heaven!
The REWARD
will only be that work, that is God through us,
not us for God.
Only what is of
Jesus, from Jesus,
through His holy
spirit,
through the completely
yielded vessel,
will be rewarded.
Another kind of reward
Hebrews 2:2
For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression
and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
and
Colossians 2:18
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and
worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen,
vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
and
2 Timothy 4:14
Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according
to his works:
Hebrews 10:35Cast
not away therefore your confidence, which hath great
recompence of
reward.
We can see by just
some of these scriptures that
we are taught that
there are various degrees of rewards,
both good and bad..
Hell is mentioned 23 times in the New Testament.
The word has two different meanings.
Both are listed below.
Luke 16:23 And
in hell (0086) he
lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus
in his bosom.
24
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus,
that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for
I am tormented in this flame.
FLAME in the above
scripture is defined by Eastons definitions, as "the chosen symbol
of the holiness of God (Ex3:2-Rev.2:18) as indicating "the intense
all consuming operation
of His holiness in relation to sin"
AND THAT SPEAKS
VOLUMES ABOUT THE HELL
OF THESE SCRIPTURES!
Just to note:
this analogy was given before Jesus had finished God's work on the cross.
. and everything on this earth changed after the cross, in God's eyes,
as they
now looked through
His Son Jesus, and the grace of God. . Jesus, remember, continued His work
during the three days between his physical death and His physical
ressurection. .
which changed the form of 'Hades'
1 Corinthians 15:55
O death, (0086) where
is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
The above
is just one of the wonders,
as a result of the
finished work of the cross
by the grace of
God, through Jesus!
Acts 2:27
Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, (0086)
neither
wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
0086 hades {hah'-dace} HELL---11times
in NT another meaning of hell
from 1 (as negative particle) and 1492
(1) name Hades or Pluto, the god of the
lower regions
(2) Orcus, the nether world, the realm
of the dead
(3) later use of this word, the grave,
death, hell In Biblical Greek it is associated with Orcus, the infernal
regions, a dark and dismal place in the very depths of the earth, the common
receptacle of disembodied spirits. Usually Hades is just the abode of the
wicked, (Luk 16:23, Rev 20:13,14); a very uncomfortable place.
This HELL, is called, 'the place
of the dead', where they await the judgment.
Rev 20: 13.
. . . (and'death
and hell' delivered
up the dead which were in them:)
hades (0086) for
the day of judgment
This gives us a picture of where
the unsaved are, past this world,
but still not in the fire, of any type!
1067 geenna {gheh'-en-nah}
hell--12 times in NT--Matt 5:22
of Hebrew origin 01516 and 02011
(1) Hell is the place of the future punishment
call "Gehenna" or "Gehenna of fire". This was originally the valley of
Hinnom, south of Jerusalem, where the filth and dead animals of the city
were cast out and burned; a fit symbol of the wicked and their future destruction.
Matthew 5:22
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a
cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his
brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say,
Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. (1067)below
Matthew 10:28 And
fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:
but rather
fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (1067)
Now this brings up
another point.
Can God seperate
the body from the soul in hell?
Note this scripture
from Paul:
1 Thessalonians 5:23
¶And
the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole
spirit and soul and
body be preserved blameless unto
the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Now what about the
'whole' or part of the spirit,
the soul, or the
body. . ?
God only in His
justice can answer that,
but it does appear
that this is a good probability,
according to these
two scriptures.
This reference to HELL is to the more permanent
punishment,
ie. after judgement.
Revelation 19:20 And
the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles
before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the
beast, and them that worshipped his image.
These both were
cast 'alive'
into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
The beast and the
false prophet were now, cast into the lake of fire burning with brimstone
Rev20:10 And
the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and
brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be
tormented day and night for ever and ever.
A reminder that the
word 'brimstone' in the biblical and Greek meaning is:
BRINSTONE 2303 theion {thi'-on}
probably of 2304
(in its original sense of flashing)
(1) brimstone
(1.a) divine incense,
because burning brimstone was regarded as having power to purify, and to
ward off disease
KJV: brimstone 7
Now we have all three evils, cast alive
into the same lake of fire burning with brimstone,
and it is clearly stated, that they shall
be tormented for ever and ever.
No where else is (tormented forever) stated
in scripture, about any souls,
or is the word cast 'ALIVE' mentioned.
There is below, in verse Rev. 20:11, the
closest scripture to the 'torment.
The smoke of their torment rises for ever,
and they find no rest day or night.***
Of course they will never have the spiritual
rest of Jesus,
as they worshipped the beast.
Revelation 14:9
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man
worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead,
or in his hand,
10
The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out
without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented
with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the
presence of the Lamb:
11
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and
they
have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and
whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Revelation 20:12
And I saw the (dead, small and great,) stand before God;
and the books
were opened:
and another
book was opened,
which is the book
of life:
and the dead were
judged out of those things which were written in the
(books,) according to
their works.
We see here, that the dead are judged out
of all the books, by their works.
They will have no defence, no rightousness
in Christ, to cover their sins,
or works of sin.
13 (And
the sea gave up the deadwhich were in it;)
(anddeath
and hell delivered up the dead which were in them:)
and they were judged
every man according to their works.
Here are at least
two places mentioned, from where come the dead, to be judged.
Those not in the first resurrection.
14 And
death
and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
It looks like there
is no more (death and hades), or place of the dead (waiting)
Revelation 21:8 But
the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers,
and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part
in the lake which burneth with fire (4442)
and brimstone: which is the second death.
It
is noteworth to mention that the above mentioned sins,
are said to have
their part-
in this lake of
fire- -
Sure sounds like
degrees of hell, of some kind,
but does that mean
forever?
Is there a part of
that soul that will be saved,
after the sin is
purged and purified?
There's no doubt
the sin is lost forever!
We really don't know
for sure, about this second death for those
mentioned above.
Does this place,
that burns with spiritual fire of God,
and brimstone, which
also means:
(1.a) divine incense, because burning
brimstone was regarded as having power to purify, and to ward off disease)
last forever, or does it at that time
destroy sin forever!
Since the words 'perdition' 'destroy' utterly
perish,and 'second death',
are used to describe the end of
THOSE NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE,
is the final casting, really final, (as
in their total destruction)
for these unfortunate souls?
2 Peter 2:12 But
these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil
of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in
their own corruption;
The unholy trinity of
the Beast, false prophet,
and the devil, are the only ones, that
scripture states,
will suffer torment for ever and ever.
There is one thing, we can know for sure.
When they are aware of God,
their torment will be unquenchable,
knowing that they could have rejoiced
in His goodness,
but choose not to believe, when they had
the chance, on earth.
We know this with a certainty, that they
will one day know God,
in the face of Jesus; because of these
two scriptures,
Romans 14:11 For
it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God. Philippians 2:10
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth;
There is no doubt that every soul
will,
at one time bow in reverance, to acknowledge
the Lord Jesus Christ.
HOW GREAT WILL THEIR TORMENT BE, AFTER KNOWING HIM.?
2303 theion {thi'-on} BRIMSTONE probably of 2304 (in its original sense
of flashing)
(1) brimstone
(1.a) divine incense, because burning
brimstone was regarded as having power to purify, and to ward off disease
And
let's not forget the knowledge,
of Paul, in the scriptures.
1 Corinthians 6:3 "Know ye not that
we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?"
Now, who are these
angles, that we will be
in judging?
I don't think they
are the ones that are living in the eternal,
heaven, with our
God.
Then they must be
the angels that:
Jude 1:6 "And the angels
which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath
reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the
great day."
The above reference
to angels, that we will judge,
await in the 'hell'
(0086) until judgment day.
The chains are everlasting,
but the angels, are kept there, by God, until, or unto
the great judgment
day.
Perhaps
during the millenium, we will find ourselves as judges-
Are there more angels,
that will need judgment? Uhmm
How do you think
you will judge the angels?
Another scripture
to ponder, with other relating ones.
Revelation 20:15
And
whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake
of fire. (4442)
These were cast into the lake(nearby shore)
of fire,
as there was no more death and hell,
(the waiting place), called hades, after
the judgment.
The place or realm, where they are cast
into, just won't exist amymore, (REV. 20:14)
so is the final destruction of the
souls,
also permanent?
as in final death, done, utterly destroyed,
forever and ever!
as if the soul never was. . .
SOMETHING TO PONDER. .
